Privacy Policy

Overview

FolioHair is designed with your privacy in mind. Your data belongs to you. FolioHair collects only what is necessary to provide the service and never sells your personal information.

Data Storage

FolioHair stores your data locally on your device by default. If you choose to enable cloud sync, your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS) and encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+.

Photos you upload are stored locally and, if cloud sync is enabled, on Cloudinary's CDN with secure URLs.

Information Collected

  • Account data: If you create an account, FolioHair stores your email address for authentication purposes only.
  • Usage analytics: FolioHair may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g., which features are most used) to improve the experience. No personally identifiable information is included.
  • Subscription data: Subscription management is handled entirely by Apple and RevenueCat. FolioHair does not store your payment information.

Information Not Collected

  • FolioHair does not track your location.
  • FolioHair does not access your contacts.
  • FolioHair does not read your messages or emails.
  • FolioHair does not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way.

Client Data

Client information you enter (names, formulas, notes, photos) is stored on your device and, if cloud sync is enabled, encrypted and stored in your private database. Only you can access your client data. FolioHair cannot read it.

Third-Party Services

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by deleting the app. If you have cloud sync enabled, contact FolioHair support at support@foliohair.com and your cloud data will be deleted within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

FolioHair is not directed at children under 13. FolioHair does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

FolioHair may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of FolioHair constitutes acceptance.
